The migration of these procedures to office-based labs (OBLs) and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) has accelerated with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services addition of diagnostic heart catheterizations and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) to the ASC-covered procedure list in 2020, reports Cardiovascular Business.
