HCA Healthcare has purchased land in St. Cloud, FL, where it plans to build a new freestanding emergency room.
The Nashville, Tennessee-based for-profit health system bought the vacant 1.48-acre parcel for $2.85 million on April 7, according to Osceola County records, the Orlando Business Journal reports.
HCA already filed plans for the new 11-room, 10,860-square-foot ER slated to be built on the property.
The project will be part of the St. Cloud Marketplace development from Orlando-based RRB Partners, which sold the land through a related entity. HCA executives were not immediately available for comment, but the company previously said the site will have 40 employees and target opening at the end of this year.
