Iola, Kansas-based Southeast Kansas Mental Health Center (SEKMHC) has joined with the Chanute, Kansas-based Ashley Clinic, per Behavioral Health Business.
“It’s a natural progression and partnership,” SEKMHC CEO Nathan Fawson said. “We will be able to deliver a more comprehensive approach to healthcare.”
Ashley Clinic, a for-profit multi-specialty practice, was founded in 1938. It offers primary care, imaging, medical lab and pharmacy services. It operates two locations — one in Chanute and another in Humbolt, Kansas.
SEKMHC is a nonprofit mental health organization that became a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) in 2022. It runs offices in Iola, Chanute, Humboldt, Fort Scott, Pleasanton, Garnett and Yates Center, Kansas. Its core services include outpatient psychiatry, therapy, chemical abuse counseling, case management and skill-building groups.
