$481M Hospital Opens in Utica, NY

The Wynn Hospital in downtown Utica opended over the weekend. The hospital was partially funded through a $300 million grant from the New York State Department of Health’s Health Care Facility Transformation Program.

The newly completed state-of-the-art hospital is expected to receive 90,000 visits annually, according to The Oneida Daily Dispatch.

The facility is located on a 25-acre space. It includes 702,000 square feet with 10 floors, 373 beds, and a helipad near the Emergency Department entrance. The hospital was designed as an urban park with enhanced lighting, trees, flowers, walkways and seating areas.
