The keys are almost in hand for the first new hospital in a decade to be built in the region just north of Cincinnati, according to a Becker’s report.
The 60-bed Mercy Health Kings Mills hospital in Mason, about 22 miles north of Cincinnati, is expected to have an outsized impact on the local economy as well as provide care in a 172,500-square-foot facility, the report said. There will also be a medical building adjacent to the hospital offering such specialties as cardiology, pulmonology and vascular services, among others.
Over 80% of the investment and job creation in Mason in the past five years has been in the biohealth sector, said Michele Blair, director of economic development for the city of Mason.
The opening is slated for mid-November. Read more.
