Woman’s Hospital has entered into contract negotiations with New Orleans-based LCMC Health to join the system’s electronic medical records platform, Epic Community Connect, reports the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report.
LCMC was selected from among several Louisiana-based health care systems that responded earlier this summer to a request for information from Woman’s, seeking a potential partner in an affiliation that would enable cost sharing on services, equipment and technology such as Epic, which a growing number of providers are using and patients are demanding.
