Government Funding

The funds are to help the 1.8 million Kentuckians living in rural areas by maintaining or upgrading hospital facilities, retaining or increasing the current staff of the rural hospital and providing health care services not currently available.

The New York State Department of Health and the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York have announced the availability of funds under the Statewide Health Care Facility Transformation Program III.

The funds will be disbursed among nine hospitals throughout the state.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded nearly $1 billion in American Rescue Plan funding to support major healthcare construction and renovation projects at health centers in all 50 states.

The funding — which will be awarded by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services — will be granted to 20 states for the care of individuals experiencing a crisis situation.
