Gulf Coast Health Care, based out of Pensacola, FL, has filed for bankruptcy in federal court, 3WEAR reports.
The company operates 28 nursing facilities in three states including seven in Pensacola.
According to reports, the company’s facilities have over 2,220 residents and employ more than 3100 people in Florida and Mississippi.
The company owes rent payments totaling millions of dollars.
The Channel 3 new organization received a statement from company executives, saying they are working with all of their stakeholders to keep facilities open and employees in place. Read more.
