5 Health Systems to Disband Clinical Network in Michigan

Five Michigan health systems plan to shutter operations of Affirmant Health Partners, a clinically integrated network, by the end of this year, Crain’s reports. 

These organizations make up Affirmant Health Partners: Saginaw-based Covenant HealthCare; Detroit-based Henry Ford Health System; St. Joseph-based Spectrum Health Lakeland; Lansing-based Sparrow Health System; and Kalamazoo-based Bronson Healthcare Group.

The decision to shut down the partnership was based on changes in strategy among the five participating systems and reductions in Medicare participation, among other factors. Read more.
