Sequoia Healthcare District in CA Gets $19M Settlement From Dignity Health

Dignity Health will pay $19 million to the Sequoia Healthcare District following a settlement stemming from a dispute over the transfer of the Sequoia Hospital to Dignity Health in 2007, The Daily Journal reports.

The agreement requires half of the funds to go directly to the health district in California to develop and implement innovative and impactful programs and provide resources to nonprofits. The other half is to be spent in conjunction with Dignity Health on other projects in the district. Read more.
