Ballad Health Evaluates $46M of New Debt to Support Capital Expenditure

Johnson City, Tenn.-based Ballad Health is considering changing the terms of some of its current indebtedness and may add an additional approximate $45.7 million of new debt, per Becker’s.

The 21-hospital system’s existing debt totals a principal amount of $280.4 million. Any new debt would be used to support capital expenditure projects, Ballad said in a filing.

Last month, Ballad Health terminated its engagement with Moody’s after almost a year of not providing company information to the rating agency.
