PitchBook Releases Q2 Digital Health Report

As venture capital dollars flowing into digital health have slowed, startups focused on behavioral health (predictably) and general telehealth (not-so-predictably) still attracted nine-figure rounds in Q2.   

Amid the funding slump, teletherapy & behavioral health has been a bright spot with several headline deals to date including Author Health’s $115 million early-stage deal and Spring Health’s $71 million Series D, notes PitchBook in a new report.

In light of profitability and reimbursement concerns, digital therapeutics will need to find a new path forward— and in a sign of increasing consolidation, Big Health announced an acquisition of Limbix in July, which followed Nox Health’s acquisition of Somryst. 

The report also highlights emerging opportunities in at-home diagnostics, glucose management, and telehealth platforms for ketamine therapy. Read more.
