The investment will allow for the operations of Wellness on Wheels Primary Care to remain as a community hub, connecting patients to a medical home regardless of their ability to pay and advancing health equity.

The appeal is the largest capital campaign in a history that goes back to 1883.

Around $3.8 million has already been raised for the campaign. Construction of the new unit is slated to begin in early 2024 and will take approximately two years to complete.

The funds will help finance construction of a new 10-story tower at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Established in 2021, the Oswego Health Foundation Endowment Fund is designed to keep the donors’ gifts to Oswego Health intact while using the investment income for future healthcare investments.

The hospital in rural central Pennsylvania has been losing $150,000 per month for the last year as reimbursements lag behind rising costs.

The funds will support the purchase of a state-of-the-art radiography system to analyze breast cancer specimens.

The gift will create and name the Compton Center for Medical Excellence and Innovation, a new center bringing together clinicians, educators and research investigators to propel clinical and operational innovation -- advancing healthcare for patients and families.

The goal is to raise $1.1 million by 2026.
